First, I would like to say, welcome to my little corner of the internet.
I am a twenty-something who lives in Houston. I’m not originally from Houston, I’ve lived here since 2010, but the city has taken me by the hand and decided it is not letting go anytime soon.
I recently graduated from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) where I studied public relations and marketing, and I’m currently in my first year of graduate school. During my final semester at UH, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and have been on the road to enjoying remission ever since. On any given weekend, you can find me laughing, with a drink in my hand at a UH sporting event or exploring all that Houston has to offer.

I’ve always wanted to start a blog. I remember in college, my professors would emphasize the need to have one for future employers. The thought of creating a blog to satisfy prospective employers scared me and added on a pressure of making everything perfect. Now that I’m a pseudo-adult, I have embraced blogging on my own terms. When I was diagnosed with cancer, I thought about creating one, I bought this domain and everything, but it never manifested. I was in a complete daze while I was undergoing treatment and surgeries and there was no way that I could create content that made any sense. But here I am, ready than ever to share my story.

I want my readers to feel inspired, confident, and beautiful. I want you to understand that we all go through struggles and to remind everyone to celebrate everything, even the small things. In some ways, our walks are very similar as we’re trying to figure out life. Looking into the future, I want to continue creating content in all aspects of lifestyle. This blog will continue to grow with me as I navigate life after cancer, post-grad, and beginning adulthood in general.
