Oh my God, y'all!

I did it. 

“Omigod you guys,” from the Legally Blonde the Musical is literally on repeat. 

I can’t believe I created a blog – a REAL BLOG 

In the song, Elle didn’t win the ring, but I actually committed to something pretty big so that counts right?

Those of which who know me in real life know that I am a commitaphobe.

To everyone’s shock (and mine), I found myself buying the “DaishaMitchell.com” domain on Go Daddy.

I committed with my REAL money so there was no turning back now. 

The site was officially mine – on a complete whim. The blog was originally supposed to document my breast cancer diagnosis. I was diagnosed with stage one triple negative breast cancer at 21 and that is definitely a story that should be told. However; I was living life in shock. It was hard to create content and successfully graduate in May and maintain two internships that were reduced dramatically. I spent most of the time just going through the motions and that wouldn't be fair or economical to me nor y’all. 

But, I am in a much better place and ready to share my story with y’all now.

This blog will celebrate life and all aspects of it as I navigate recovery and life as a twenty-something after graduation.  I hope you enjoy the content I create within all aspects of lifestyle including health, food, travel and beauty.

I still in shock that I actually committed to this.
